Precision casting while float fishing
Sometimes you have to cast into a very specific spot to be rewarded with a fish. In this case, the spot was at my full casting distance, and between 3 weed beds that were closely packed together. After absolutely nailing the cast, I managed to hook into what I would consider to be a big Carp which was loads of fun to fight using my light gear.
I also managed to catch a couple of other fish, one of which being a beautiful little Silver Perch.
It definitely pays to bring some different options with you when bait fishing. I had corn suspended under my float for the first 30 minutes and saw a few carp swimming around, but they just weren't interested in biting. As soon as I changed to some freshwater shrimp tails, the action started! Cracking the code can be just as important as picking the right spot when fishing.
