Lake Oroville CA low water drought October 2021 vs June 2019 full and beautiful HD 4k drone video
This is a compilation of video from 2019 when the lake was full, to the extreme low water level due to drought in 2021. I flew the drone at the same elevation as I did in 2019 to show the effect.
The video from 2019 was shot using a DJI Phantom 4P. The video from 2021 was shot with a DJI Mini 2. Both videos are 4K resolution. The more I use the Mini 2 the more I am impressed with its abilities. For high quality stuff I still use the Phantom 4P.
Lake Oroville has a capacity of over 3.5 million acre-feet. It is located on the Feather River, about 75 miles north of Sacramento, in Butte County. This lake offers many recreational activities like camping, horseback riding, hiking, sail and power boating, fishing, swimming and much more. My favorite is the floating campsites. There is also great bass fishing, and Coho salmon stocked from the Feather River Fish Hatchery.
